National Reading Day 2022

The National Education policy 2020 which emphasizes reading as a key skill for foundational learning and honoring the father of the Library Movement the late P.N. Panicker, 19 June is been celebrated as a Reading Day.

National Public School, Whitefield celebrated the 27th National Reading Day on 27th June 2022. Author Ms. Andaleeb Wajid, a Bangalore based Author addressed the students of Classes 9 & 10. She spoke about her latest novel ‘Mirror’ to students, written for young adults which is a touching and funny story about a young girl’s journey to self-acceptance. The Author also talked about her other books like Asmara’s summer and the Legend of the wolf. The session was thoroughly enjoyed by the students. Students questioned the author, regarding navigating through a writer’s block, choice of topic, logistics of printing etc. were tackled by the Guest author with precision and ease. The Author gave the students many insightful tips on writing. The session came to an end with an exciting announcement of Avid Reader Badges and Class trophies for students.
