Kannada Rajyotsava

‘Let us remember the Golden Heritage of our state and feel proud to be a part of Karnataka’

This is a thought that rings aloud in the heart of every citizen of Karnataka on November 1, to celebrate the formation of our separate state, which unified the Kannada speaking regions of South India.

At NPS Whitefield, the day was celebrated with much fervor and joy. The foyer was decked brightly with the customary colors of the day, representing the flag of Karnataka.

The programme started with the fancy dress on Jnaapeeta Award winners of Karnataka. Students got dressed up as famous personalities of Karnataka and spoke about their contributions to the state of Karnataka. They also sang Kannada songs - the rendering of which, was so melodious and divine that it aptly felt like the language of the Gods. Students also performed a skit on Importance of water.

Flash Mob was performed by all the participants on the song Baarisu Kannada dindimava. The showstopper was the magnificent Yakshagaana performance which was the perfect blend of colors and culture.

The entire program showcased the vibrancy of Karnataka and was well orchestrated to culmination with the State Anthem being sung by the students and teachers.
