National Unity Day

‘Only humility will lead us to unity, And unity will lead us to peace.’ - Mother Teresa

Morning assembly undoubtedly holds the numero uno position out of all the routine activities in a school. It aids community participation as well as the highlights the skills of children on account of healthy competitive spirit between different groups. The 31st of October brought to the school grounds one such program as we led the school in celebrating the 147th birth anniversary of the great Indian leader Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The day is observed as National Unity Day and provides an opportunity to reaffirm our strength and diversity in religions, cultures, traditions, and languages.

The children presented a skit highlighting the impact of The Iron Man of India on today’s youth. They also enlightened all with a quote, and sang a meaningful song. The Children administered the oath of unity and oneness to the students. ‘Great people never die; their fragrance is felt very long after they leave the physical world. One such icon and visionary was Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.’ These were the thought that reverberated in every mind as the school dispersed to begin an interesting week of learning.
