8B Class Assembly – The Hero in Us

“A hero is someone who understands the responsibility that comes with his freedom”.

Grade 8B presented their class assembly on the topic- Be the HERO in you (explore your potentials). The assembly started off by offering a heartfelt tribute to the unsinkable spirit of our heroes who sacrificed their lives to pave way for the cherished Independence we celebrate today. The thought for the day- Hard times don’t create heroes. It is during hard times when the hero within us is revealed” set the tone for the day. This was followed by a short role play – Bamboo and Rose showcasing the hero that resides in all of us. A dance performance was brilliantly presented on a rhythmic melody by gracious heroes of the class. The assembly ended with the thought-

In shadows deep, a hero lies,

A beacon of hope that never dies.

With strength within, they will rise above

The hero in me, the one I love
