World Environment Day 2026: Driving Climate Action
To mark World Environment Day 2026, National Public School, Whitefield organised a plantation drive centred on the theme of Climate Action on 5 June 2026. Students enthusiastically contributed saplings, demonstrating their commitment to environmental stewardship, while the Principal inaugurated the drive by planting a Neem sapling. An inspiring address by a student representative encouraged the school community to adopt sustainable practices, reduce plastic consumption, and take collective responsibility for protecting the environment. Furthering its commitment to sustainability, the school introduced indoor plants in staff rooms and primary classrooms, creating greener learning spaces and fostering environmental consciousness among students. Through such initiatives, the institution continues to nurture responsible citizens who value and contribute positively to the world around them.
